Brief: ProMission was instructed to undertake a Pre-Acquisition Survey of this group of town centre properties. The Client was purchasing the freeholds and the outcome of the survey was to assist them in negotiations by identifying items of significant expenditure or concern that could impact the price.
The Abbey Street premises were constructed in the 1930s and included six ground-floor individual retail units, the arcade and the upper floor over-sailing offices.
The New Century Way premises date back to 1980s, a parade of six retail units with retail parts located on the ground floor with separate office accommodation stretching across parts of the terrace at first floor.
Both groups of properties were part occupied premises with ongoing tenancies, purchased as part of a redevelopment strategy by the Client.
