Studio 35, Britannia Row, Islington

About This Project

Client: Boohoo UK

Location: Islington

Sector: Commercial

Instruction: Project Management, Employer’s Agent

Contact: Ian Simmonds

Brief: We are Employer’s Agent for this exciting project to refurbish a dilapidated c.30,000 sqft Victorian warehouse building in Islington. The building has an interesting past, once being owned and occupied by Pink Floyd as their ‘Britannia Row Studios’. Key tracks on some of their legendary albums, including ”The Wall”, were recorded here. It has sat empty for the last nine years and our Client, Boohoo is now refurbishing, extending and converting the building into state-of-the-art photography studios for their many in-house brands.

We have been working with design team Markwick Architects, QED (Consulting Engineers) (M&E) CTP Consulting Engineers (Structural) and Anderton Gables (QS). Main Contractor, Management & Construction Services Limited has just been appointed to take the project build forward.

Ian Simmonds says ”this is an incredible project to be involved with and we look forward to overseeing the building’s transformation over the coming year”.
